option4 were particularly active in the Auckland Conservation Board meetings during 2003. Several times the option4 team members addressed the Board with concerns about marine protection initiatives underway around the region. Marine reserve proposals or measures were proposed for Great Barrier Island, Tiritiri Matangi Island and the west coast of the North Island during this time.
