Kahawai
- Time and Schools are Disappearing
option4 are concerned about the publicity (or lack of) and consultation
regarding the upcoming decision to introduce kahawai and 18 other
species into the Quota Management System (QMS) on 1 October 2004.
We used our networks to contact as many people as we could to notify
them of the upcoming decision and also asking for input.
The following is the second
email communication sent regarding kahawai.

In 12 days time option4 will be releasing Alert # 6. We cannot wait
any longer.
option4 are seeking your opinion on the future management of kahawai.
Kahawai is the last, valuable inshore shared species to be introduced
into the quota system this year. The Minister of Fisheries has to
allow for public use before allocating the remainder to the fishing
industry as a perpetual property right. Be heard before it’s
too late.
If you believe your friends, family or colleagues would like the
opportunity to have their say use the ‘reply’ button,
type in their name, surname, their email and we will include them
in the Alert notification. PLEASE don’t wait.
In anticipation
