MARINE PROTECTED
AREAS POLICY STATEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
The Ministers of Fisheries
and Conservation wrote to you on 9 November 2004 asking for your
comment on the Government's Draft Marine Protected Areas Policy
Statement and Implementation Plan. I am writing to advise you that
the deadline for submissions has been extended until Monday 28 February
2005. Please note that there will not be further extensions to this
deadline.
Copies of the consultation
material may be obtained from Department of Conservation and Ministry
of Fisheries offices or from the www.biodiversity.govt.nz
website. If you have any questions or would like to meet with
officials to discuss your views, please contact Jim Nicolson (phone
