MFish recommends that for the 2002?03 fishing year:
The TAC
is set at 460 tonnes, and within the TAC:
Allowances be set at 20 tonnes for customary Mäori fishing
interests, 40 tonnes for recreational fishing interests and
40 tonnes for other sources of fishing-related mortality
The TACC is increased from 252 tonnes to 360 tonnes (an increase
of approximately 43%).
