Public meeting to discuss dolphin proposals with John Tamihere
A public meeting is being held on Tuesday 9th October at the Laingholm
Hall*, Victory Road, Laingholm, Waitakere, to discuss the Dolphin
Threat Management Plan draft proposals from the Department of Conservation
and Ministry of Fisheries. Discussions begin at 7.30pm. The public
are invited and will have the opportunity to express their views
to enable John Tamihere to understand the concerns of the Manukau
Harbour community.
This meeting has been organised by concerned members of the public
in response to the poor attendance at the local ‘open days’
organised by both DoC and MFish. A series of six ‘open days’
were organised by these government departments to let more people
know about the proposals and answer any questions from the west
coast communities.
Details of those meetings are available here

*Laingholm Hall is opposite the Laingholm School.
