Dear Friends of Port FitzRoy
Many thanks to all those
who have contributed to the cause of keeping the only anchorage
on the east coast of Kaikoura Island in Port Fitzroy free of mussel
farms. It was supposed to be all over by now but we have had another
delay. The appeal was going to be heard either during this week
or the week commencing 19 July.
Judge Newhook has decided
there is not Court time available in either of these weeks so the
case has been adjourned out of the list. He
advised the lawyers for the parties involved that the case is likely
to be listed for hearing in November. A Notice of Hearing
specifying the week in November is not likely to be sent out by
the Court for a month or two.
