Snapper 1 policy
At this hui the Hokianga Accord endorsed the NZ Sport Fishing Council Snapper 1 policy. Also, the Accord thanked the NZSFC for resourcing and developing the policy, to rebuild the depleted snapper fishery on the northeast coast, between North Cape and Cape Runaway, East Cape. |

Revive our Gulf
An ambitious project to restore the mussel beds in the Hauraki Gulf. Historically mussel reefs were widespread and abundant. Those were annihilated. A multi-interest group is working to trial methods to restore the beds. |
