Thanks to everyone who completed the Kahawai survey sent out last month. Over 1050 of you responded to the survey, draft submission and Alert #16.

There was very strong opposition to the ongoing purse seining of kahawai, and overwhelming support for reducing commercial catch limits to cover unavoidable bycatch only.

Stay tuned because October 1st is the deadline for a Ministerial decision.
