The Hauraki Gulf Forum was established under the Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park Act 2000 and generally meets quarterly.
Membership comprises three councillors, an elected representative from each local authority bordering the Gulf and Environment Waikato, representatives from relevant government departments and ministries and Tangata Whenua representatives appointed by the Minister of Maori Affairs.
Of particular relevance to us is the inclusion of government departments such as the Department of Conservation (DoC) and the Ministry of Fisheries (Mfish).
Forum meetings are held at the Auckland Regional Council chambers, Vodafone House, 21 Pitt St, Auckland City. Meetings are at 1pm on the day scheduled.
